Born in 60's, modified in the 90's This is a Custom build Kauffmann Cozy. Imagine a guitar build in the 60's and a James Hetfield fan that is looking for more rocking power and deeper dives. So he modifies it. He wnats it to be white of course with a matching headstock. He installs 8185 EMG pickups, the classic metal combination for rock. And he puts in a Floyd Rose tremolo, a Schaller Lockmeister 6 bridge and a locking nut for those deep dives. And there we have it, the Cozy FR Of course most of the great Cozy feautures have been preserved. Like the lightweight Paulownia body with deep body coutours for comfortable playing and easy acces higher up the neck. It has a quarter sawn roasted maple neck for more stability and a smoother feel. The rosewood fretboard has a 10" radius for lazy chording and easy string bending. The Cozy is an offset guitar with a fairly large body. Despite its size it weighs well below 2,8 kgs, thanks to the light weight Paulownia body. It is the perfect combination of that 25 ¼ scale bolt on neck feel with six inline tuners on the one hand and EMG humbucker power on the other.
