Malaysian Black Wood is a rare wood and only available in limited quantities. It is a very hard wood as it is part of the Ebony family. And that has a profound impact on the sound. The guitar has deep articulated basses and ringing highs. It produces plenty of overtones creating a rich lush sound. It is almost like rosewood on steroids. Visually the Black Wood is a piece of art by itself and needs very little embellishments to give this guitar its good looks.
