The '59 re-inspired

This is the re-inspired Kauffmann '59 Single Cut. Kauffmann Guitars have improved their take on this iconic guitar. Of course it features the standard specs of this model, a Honduras Mahogany body. a carved maple top, a mahogany neck and two humbuckers. The body has been weight relieved for more player comfort but mostly because it adds to the resonance of this guitar. New is the grada AAA flamed maple top that really adds visual depth to its appearance. This is enhanced by the ultra thin nitro finish. The neck is a 59 profile but it is not a chunky neck at all. The neck has a long tenon for better and more sustain. The back of the neck is also nitro finished and it feels very very smooth. A lot of the appeal of this guitar is the way it feels. It is gently aged and it feels like it has been around for a couple of decades. Kauffmann made three major improvements to the way it sounds. They have added a Faber bridge that is solid as rock and helsp the guitar sustain and helps to bring out the harmonics that are produced by the maple/mahogany combination. The guitar has '50's based wiring with a treble bleed. A very large part of the sound come from the Cream T '57 GT pickups. With a relatively low output these produce a full bodied transparant tone that allow the woody undertones to surface. This guitar weighs 3,4 KGS, it comes in a brown hard case and with a COA.

DESCRIPTION

Kauffmann Guitars are build in the Netherlands. Kauffmann builds custom shop quality guitars at an affordable price level. All guitars have that vintage well worn in vibe. It is all about feel, looks and the sound.

Feel

Kauffmann aims for a weight around 3,6 kgs. Most players experience that as a good weight for this type of guitar. The fingerboard has hand rolled edges and the neck has light or no lacquer on the back. And that is why they feel comfortable right at the first touch.

Looks

Guitars are finished in nitro cellulose lacquer in a various burst versions, gold top of black beauty.  The aging level varies from very light to medium.  But it is never extreme. In this way each and every guitar is unique in it’s own right.

Sound

Sound wise we aim for a transparant woody full bodied  tone. We use various Cream-T pickups for that.
