Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi V2 also known as the "Ram's Head" version. Featuring a different circuit design from the first "Triangle" version, the "Ram's Head" offers the traditional Big Muff Pi knobs for Volume, Tone, and Sustain. This model is from 1974 and was purchased in 1975 by the first owner. The V2 "Ram's Head" Big Muff was reportedly the most used Big Muff by David Gilmour, both in Pink Floyd, and in his solo recordings. It was famously used on the legendary Comfortably Numb solos, from Pink Floyd's The Wall double album, as well as many other Gilmour Big Muff guitar solos throughout his career.
All circuit boards were marked with the number 3003 and a stylized “EH” symbol. As with the V1 Big Muff, circuit board component types and values for the V2 frequently changed during production, this pedal is in good condition considering its age. This pedals work excellent and is battery operated, can be switched off by the switch above the pedal. So if you're looking for the real deal, this is the Muff you want.
